Paul began his working life in the computer services industry in the late 80's, eventually working for one of the world's largest computer service companies, often in charge of one of their largest datacentres. Towards the end of this time though, Paul felt strongly that life had more to offer! ArtworkHe had always been a keen artist, and decided to spend more of his free time drawing and painting. With so many people asking him if his drawings in particular were available for sale, he set up a website to show his work.
"Dreamtime" - By Paul Douglass He not only sold his work, and received wonderful comments about it, but people also loved the website he'd put together that showcased it all! His original pencil drawings, commissions, and limited edition prints are now in private collections around the world.
Paul working on "Spellbound" Paul is also the only pencil drawing artist ever to be taken on by one of the UK’s largest contemporary art publishers. PsychologyPaul had also always had an interest in the area of psychology, and a genuine desire to help people with their lives. He wanted to use that interest in some way, and so trained in the use of 'Pure Hypnoanalysis', gaining his advanced qualifications, and becoming an accredited member of the International Association of Hypnoanalysts. Never one to do anything by halves, Paul resigned from his computer services career, and, along with his wife Denise, setup Avon Hypnotherapy, a very successful hypnotherapy practice which draws all of it's clients from the websites that Paul has set up for it. Up until recently, Paul practiced in Harley Street in central London, but now practices in the much more relaxed surroundings of his specially setup practice room near Cambridge. Combining Art, Computer Systems and PsychologyWhen it comes to setting up websites, Paul has always enjoyed the challenge of combining all of his skills in artwork, computer systems and psychology. The art background helps Paul to design some stunning designs, while the computer systems background allows him to bring those designs into the digital world. The psychology behind what works and what doesn't, speaks for itself!
