5 Steps to Successful Web Design
The process involved in getting a new website online for your business needn't be a long and complicated one.
With a simple, 5 step process, your website can be designed, built, and published with a fast turnaround time, getting you online as quickly as possible.
By keeping you involved, and getting your feedback as we go along, your new website can be designed to be everything you want it to be.
At each of the 5 steps, we’ll be there to answer your questions and guide you easily through the process.
Let’s look at the 5 stages in a bit more detail...
Stage 1 – The Quotation
 |
Fill in our short quotation form.
It takes about 5 minutes, and will tell us about you, your business, and about what you want from your new website. |
Once we’ve taken a look at what you need, we’ll prepare a quotation for you and e-mail it back to you for you to have a look at.
If you’ve got any questions at this stage, let us know, and we’ll get back to you straight away. Lots of interaction between us will make sure that we’re heading in the same direction.
Once you’re completely happy with everything, just give us the go-ahead by signing and returning the quotation we sent you, along with your deposit and we’ll get to work!
Stage 2 – Pre-Production
 |
Once you’ve given us the go-ahead, your website moves into the ‘Pre-Production’ phase.
At this point, there'll be lots of communication between us, while we start to put together some ideas for the basis of your website.
You'll get to see these ideas when we move to the next stage, which is the 'Mockup' phase. |
By the way, if you haven’t already got round to it, now’s the time to start putting together the content for your new website.

Stage 3 – Mockup
 |
It's at this point that we’ll put together a preliminary design for you (the 'mockup').
The 'mockup' is based on the things you've told us about you, your business and what you want from your website.
At this stage, it doesn’t exist yet as a working website, it only exists as a static PhotoShop™ image. |
We'll put the image on a hidden page on our website, and send you a link so that you can take a look.
At this point we'll need your feedback on the initial design. Tell us the things you like about it, and which things you’d like us to change. Once we’ve received your feedback, we can make the relevant changes and upload it again for you.
It usually takes 2 or 3 revision steps to get it ‘spot-on’, and then we’ll ask you to approve the final design.
It's important to make sure that you're happy with the design at this point, as once the website moves into the 'Production' stage, changes to the design itself may involve additional charges.
Stage 4 – Production
 |
Once the final design has been approved, we’ll get to work on transforming the design from a static image, by developing it into a working website.
It's during this 'Production' stage, that we’ll need your website content from you, so that we can build it into your website. |
As always, if you’ve got any questions as we go along, do let us know, we’re here to help.
Once we’ve constructed the website, we’ll upload it to our server for you to see. At this stage, the ‘beta’ version of the website will give you another opportunity to give us your feedback.
Stage 5 – Publication
 |
Once you’ve approved the ‘beta’ version of the website and paid any remaining fee, we’ll publish the website to your server.
Your new website now becomes ‘live’ on the internet, and potential customers from all over the world can now read about what you have to offer them! |
Just 5 steps that will get your new website up and running quickly and easily.
